Once registration closes and teams are formed, coaches will contact players to schedule practices.
The City of Casper Recreation Division and the Natrona County School District work together to provide an opportunity for 4th and 5th graders to have an interscholastic sporting experience. The C.A.S.P.E.R. program is open to all 4th and 5th graders. Sports leagues are offered in Volleyball and Basketball. Boys and girls play in their own leagues unless there is a need for coed play. All coaches are volunteers. Kids play on their school team and practices are held at the child’s school. Practices are scheduled by the coach one or two times per week. Games are on Saturdays at the Casper Recreation Center. Each season lasts 7-8 weeks with 6 officiated matches. The C.A.S.P.E.R. program has an “everyone plays” philosophy and emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, fun, healthy lifestyles, and trying new things. Community Recreation Foundation scholarships are available if ability to pay registration fee is limited.
